We’re delighted to announce that Spark Media Belfast has been commissioned to producea brand-new YouTube first film for the BBC within their new Deepwatch strand, This is an exciting first as a part of the BBC’s latest investment in original, digital-first storytelling from across the UK.
We are just one of five companies commissioned from Northern Ireland, and one of 20 companies commissioned across the UK’s Nations and Regions, putting Spark Media Belfast among a select group of producers chosen to create bold new content for BBC youth audiences.
Commissioned as part of the BBC’s Deepwatch initiative, the project will see us tell a distinctly Northern Irish story with strong YouTube appeal, taking audiences inside a world rarely seen on screen.
We can’t reveal exactly what we’re making just yet but we’re hugely excited to bring the project to life and to showcase up and coming Northern Irish talent, both in front of and behind the camera.
Produced by Spark Media Belfast, this is our first official commission as our Belfast office but definitely won’t be our last. Further details about the film and release will be announced soon.
