With over 200 hours of Chateau DIY produced, our Chief Creative Officer was eager to explore if there was a way to celebrate all the achievements of our various chateau owners from over the years.
Together with the commissioning editor at Channel 4, they started throwing around ideas of ways to utilise all the hours of phenomenal transformation and renovation footage they had and in early 2023, Chateau DIY: Living the Dream was created.
A series for More4 that would celebrate the life story of a chateau and its brave owners. Using all of the archive footage that has been created over the years, we carefully started to map out and plan how we could select key moments from a chateau’s life and condense it into 45 minutes of compelling television. Paired with a brand new master Interview with the owners which we could use throughout to curate their journey and look to the future at what was still left for them to achieve.
Series 1 launched in 2023 exploring 4 chateaus, inhabited by Stephanie, Ben & Billie, Tim & Rebecca and Edward & Anna.
Series 2 launches in October 2024 taking a look back at the journey’s of: Tim & Krys, Dona & Paul, Debbie & Nigel and Janet & Philip.
