Battlechefs brings together food, competition, celebrity and travel in one entertaining package. Five celebrity Battlechefs spend a week on board a cruise ship that’s also being used by thousands of holiday makers. Each day brings a new episode filming on land in the morning as the Battlechefs go on a mission to seek out the finest examples of local cuisine from starters to dessert and even the local aperitif.
A Head Chef is appointed once they’re back on board and then the menu is written and in the kitchen the Battlechefs go to work ready for the captain and his guests to take their seats for dinner. The Head Chef is scored on the quality of the food and overall dining experience by the diners, then the Head Chef scores his sous-chefs on their performance too. The next day brings a new port, a new Head Chef, a new menu for the captain’s table and a whole new episode.
